The GRIPSAVER will keep your putter grip out of the wet grass and/or mud while you make your lob / chip shot, then it will protect your chipper/wedge grip while you finish the job and put the ball in the hole.

Hold the GRIPSAVER in one hand and with the other hand offer the club to be protected to the slot in the GRIPSAVER,preferably towards the club head where the shaft is thinner.

A small amount of pressure will put the club shaft into the central hole.

The GRIPSAVER can now be slid towards the clubs grip where the shaft is thicker thus affording a good fit.

The assembly can now be placed or even dropped (not thrown) to the ground without fear of the grip coming to grief in the wet grass or the mud.

The club may be retrieved when required, without bending, by hooking the other club (or even a foot) under it and lifting.

To remove the GRIPSAVER:

Move the GRIPSAVER towards the club head where it may easily be removed, change clubs and 'put' the ball into the hole.

The GRIPSAVER can be easily attached to your golf bag or belt using a spring clip, ie as used for attaching a towel, or you could attach it using a split ring (key ring) and lobster clip (as found on the end of a dog lead).

I carry mine in my pocket. I have carried it about for days and hardly noticed it was there.

I have, as I think a lot of us have, returned to the bag after a 'pitch and put' and put my putter away and carried on for a couple of holes, only to be caught by an out of breath, fellow golfer asking if the wedge he was carrying was mine.

The GRIPSAVER makes this less likely to happen because it elevates the club making it easier to see on ones way back to the bag.
